In an effort to push up my lagging wordcount on NaNoWriMo, I made up a troupe to shake things up. The troupemaster, William Armor, used to be a medium, but he was a rubbish medium. When he finally did manage to channel something, he didn't get a ghost, but he managed to bring to life all the characters in the books in his room.
Carabosse, Maleficent, the wicked godmother, scattered half the characters before escaping with the villains, and William was kicked out by his parents. He started up a traveling troupe of performers, with the characters as performers, and now they travel about, seeking the rest of the characters.
Up now:
Alice Liddell (Alice in Wonderland; secretary)
Patrick 'Trick' Ster (Cheshire Cat; acrobat and nuisance)
Gwyn Peters (The White Rabbit; schedule-maker)
To do:
William Armor (the troupemaster and medium; the only real human)
Dorian Mouse (The Dormouse; sleeps all the time)
Madeline Beret (The Mad Hatter, female; costumer)
Marcia Benjamin (The March Hare, female; odd jobs)
Ye Xian (Chinese Cinderella, male; sews and helps with chores)
Calixte Rhodanthe (Belle, male; dancer)
Asherah Atirat (The Little Mermaid; dancer)
Penta Destra (The Girl[Boy] With No Hands; storyteller)
Dorothy Gale (Dorothy; storyteller and dancer)
Etienne Lefevre (The Tin Man; stagehand)
Corvus Terreo (The Scarecrow; prop maker)
Haidar Sarif (The Cowardly Lion; storyteller)
Scherza Azada (Scheherazade; storyteller and dancer)
Astrid Werner (The Little Match Girl; souvenir seller)
Fionn Tan (Little Red Riding Hood, male; cook and food vendor)
Euphonia Pomme (Singing Apple, male; storyteller and singer)
Tripudio Aquans (Dancing Water, male; dancer and acrobat)
Vox Aves (Speaking Bird, male; acrobat)
*falls over* Writing that out made me realize how crazy I am. Oh, God.
